billjones Pillar of the Community United States 1499 Posts	Posted 08/14/2017 6:08 pm The coin has been cleaned and re-colored. The bluish - greenish - dull red colors are not natural. I think that the piece was cleaned with an abrasive and the artificially re-toned. The sharpness grade is Fine, which is actually a bit on the low side for this issue. As that last of its kind, many of these coins were set aside soon after they were issued. It is an important and moderately scarce coin, but it's not the best of examples. It's only in the photos that you can pick up that odd-ness. It's a hole filler for now on set number 2, so I'm ok with it and definitely what I paid. Report this Post to the Staff
