I'm surprised nobody has a silver 1/2 sol? I had though Peruvian silvers were reasonably popular. I have always considered the llama coins to be a must-have for any collection of unusual, fun, and cheap world coins; they are easy on the eyes, well-struck in high relief, and readily available in flashy red MS for a dollar or two!

Just never saw them come around in auction lots much. I did buy once a couple pages of Colombian and Venezuelan coins, but that was it. My one Peruvian silver was an estate auction find, have never seen any others. Odd?

I did look and actually don't have any coins from Peru, so all I can get is the 1/2 point for typing something.

Good round all I don't think I have posted many (any?) Japanese coins yet; this one should be a fair challenge without busting out an excessively rare or expensive coin! Japan, 4 mon Bunkyu Eiho Running script, Jade ho (left character simplified) 1863-68 The last new type of Tokugawa coinage, and one of the last bronze coins to be cast by the Japanese, nearly a billion of these coins were cast at two mints in a grand total of four varieties: Top left: Regular script, small characters Top right: Regular script, large characters Bottom left: Running script, normal "Ho" Bottom right: Running script, "Jade Ho" No variety is scarce, nor do they command a premium. At the time of decimalization, these were worth the equivalent of 1/10 of a cent. Points: Exact match: 7 Any Bunkyu Eiho: 6 Any 4 mon: 5 Any Tokugawa coinage: 4 Any cash coin: 3 Any Japanese coin: 3 Any Oriental coin: 2 Any coin from the 1860s OR Any coin from a country that fought or allied with Japan in any war: 1 Participation: 1/2 Good luck!

Actually since I didn't post a coin, merely threatened to, I only deserve 1/2 point on the previous round for participation.

I only have one Japanese cash and I believe that it is from the Tokugawa Shogunate. Mine is a 1 Mon and dates to between 1668 and 1700 AD. Pretty sure that I get 4 points for this one!
