So here we have an australian 3 pence dated 1928   It should be 8 points, as it is .925 silver. It looks like there will be some tie breakers needed. |

Apologies for the horrid picture, but I had an 8-pointer in an old group shot I did for Victoria Day last year: Newfoundland 10 cents, 1896, .925 silver (I think Newfoundland is a little farther from Hong Kong than Ottawa?)  |

I was not thinking to sacrifice the year to get the other three two-pointers. Well I have an oddball. A six pence British of the 50th year of Vic's reign. This is gold-washed, and enameled . It depends which direction your crow flies just how far GB is from Hong Kong 1887 GB 6 Pence -modified.  |

Unless I can find something older than 1872 (or 1929-30), this 1915 sterling sixpence is the best 8-pointer I can find at the moment.   May I reserve the right to change my answer if I find something better in the next couple of days? |

Made a mistake, maybe... found this 1845 GB Queen Vic 6 Pence hiding in the back of my coin holder. This may be worth a few more points than the previous, altho the 1887 is way cooler! .925 sterling KM#733 .0895 ASW VF25  Edited by Crazyb0

Just to clarify, you guys should definitely post multiple coins if you find a better one than you originally posted. If someone beats yours, then it will make you look harder through your collection to get a better 8-pointer. It looks like you are getting the hang of it. Updated scores: Joseph7420 - 8 Dorado - 5 8 mcshilling - 7 jbuck- 5 6 Finn235 - 8 Crazyb0 - 8 for the 1887 sixpence. The 45 is out of the date range so its only worth 6. It is pretty though  Numisma - 8 New leader oriole - 8 - 28 years, 3 pence, 7392 km Remember that the distance doesn't matter unless there is a tie for date and denomination. Edited by bd251

I think the highest I can do is this 1915 Diez (10) Centavos.  Year 1915=2 Denomination Diez Centavos=2 Country=0 composition is .900 silver=2 Total is 6 points. Edited by MontCollector
