Oh great.. now I actually have half an excuse to keep that sorry slug of soft metal.

Seriously, I think the thread needs a good cleansing after that last round.
At this point my aging brain is having a bit of trouble remembering what has been done here already, and what hasn't. Too many pages to review

So let's try this bit of hopefully harmless sexism.
Post your favorite 'lovely lady' coin; one showing a fetching fraulein; joyous jeune fille; seductive senorita, etc. etc.
Only rule is, it must depict an actual person, or very close resemblance thereof. No artistic renditions of 'Lady Liberty' no matter how well done. This will eliminate a potential flood of Morgan/Peace dollars and the many permutations of Liberty that have appeared over the past few centuries ad nauseum. Yes, I am looking at you, USA, with your many prosaic and uninspiring representations of the female form.
The larger the coin, the better, and additional plus for precious metal. It's okay to post more than one coin. (Please try to keep the Queen Victoria and Princess Diana entries to a minimum. )

This will be another popular vote challenge, and will run through Sunday night. Let's see how many 'hot babes' it takes to keep away that frigid Polar Vortex headed our way.

Here are a couple of double thalers from one of my absolute favorite series. I actually know a person who bears a shockingly accurate resemblance to the individual depicted on these gorgeous Nineteenth Century German coins.

My ha'penny doesn't do her justice, but I think that earlier portraits of 'Drina are quite easy on the eyes.

I don't remember if I have the proof or BU, but this is my best entry:

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

I can post my own pic if necessary and it's a coin for having a denomination (this year's issue, as well ). Also, she is not Lady Liberty because she is obviously an adept zombie killer.

Just realized that besides ol' queenie or her great-great grandmother, I don't have a lot of coins that depict actual female monarchs.

I do have some Roman empresses, and some of them were quite the lookers, even by modern standards. Probably a favorite is Cornelia Salonina, wife of emperor Gallienus, 253-268

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

(Adding an interesting note - The top coin was minted while her dynasty was on top of the world - her husband was keeping Rome safe while her sons were being groomed as future emperors and her father in law was whupping up on the Persians. The portrait was likely made during her husband's sole rule when her father in law was enslaved to the Persians as a POW, two of her sons had been murdered by usurpers, and her husband had let the empire fracture into three separate empires.)
