It's close even to 7pm to wrap this up. Thanks for the excellent participation. Unless I made a mistake, it was a close race but Dorado won with 14 points.
Here is the tally:
mysilver years: 4 Spence: 4 McShilling: 5 Spruett: 5 bd251: 6 Jbuck: 6 (amazing that an Ike gets some points most of the time) pepactonius 7 keith12: 9 (the best of many entries) Finn235: 13 Dorado: 14

The new contest subject are trees. If someone matches the coin ,you still have a chance to add and extra coin with more trees As an example : 2005 Canadian $20 Natural Wonders: Northwest Territories Diamonds 1 oz Fine Silver Hologram Coin. The more trees you have on the coin better chances to win = 1 tree = 1 point. Only the visible trees count.Extra points: Gold, platinun or palladium----=3 points. Silver-------------------------=2 points Other--------------------------=1 point. Hologram, color, crown size------=2 points The contest begins at 5.pm and ends in three days (March 30th at 5 pm) Good luck to everyone!.

Quote: Only the visible trees count. In your example, I can count 6 trees in the foreground and count 13 trunks on the hill to the right. On the left I think I could pick out individual trunks If I magnify enough. Would you consider all these "visible trees" Or do really mean you must be able to distinguish individual trees, not a mass of trees in a forest?

The 13 trunks count, they are separated and visible enough. As an example: Coin canceled for the contest* This Quarter count : 3 trees

I want to get at least one entry in, so here goes: (These are pics of a coin I sold, but then replaced with a better example, so I do actually own this, just not the exact coin in the pics ) It is silver and crown-sized and shows at least two tree trunks very clearly to the right of Monticello. There is obviously at least one tree to the the left and maybe even two visible trunks depending on how picky you want to be, but that's up to you. So, I believe this is at least 6 points.
