Current scoreboard
Palouche, 1/12 anna Finn, 1/10 (sen) Dorado, 1/6 skilling Lowest Swedish denomination was ore in 1901, so skilling taken as lowest denomination when coin minted. Spruett, 1 mil Spence, I do not see a denomination.

Now I understand the contest better. The best I could have done was 1/12 Anna, but I don't think I even own that coin, anymore.

The fault must be mine. That's the danger of having a lawyer design a contest.

Ok my first time...Here's the challenge... Criteria.. 1- A coin that was or still is in general circulation dated pre-2000 (1999 or earlier-no limit) 2- Only round coins.. 3- A mintage of 20 million or more.(If it's an ancient just the fact it exists counts ) 4- Latin based script 5- Must have a denomination number greater than 1...Or a fraction.(Ancients dont usually have a denomination so criteria no gold) 6- Once a country has been posted it cannot be used again.(Ancients the mintmark will depict the country) Points... 1-Number of vowels used (The vowel must be written correctly V used as a U does not count) No horizontally or vertically written words..They must follow the circular shape of the coin 1 POINT = 1 vowel 2-Depicts a horse (Doesn't matter how many only one counts) = 5 POINTS max 3-Depicts a star (Doesn't matter how many only one counts) = 2 POINTS max 4-Same date written on both sides of coin = 2 POINTS 5-Silver content 80% or more = 2 POINTS OP coin.. Vowels 24 = 24 Points...(The E and O of PESOS doesn't count as the word is written horizontally.) Horse ....= 5 points Star......= 2 points Same date.= 2 points Total.....= 33 points Will check in daily GMT....Good luck

Quote: That's the danger of having a lawyer design a contest. Okay, it makes much more sense now. This next one will be a challenge... There are so many possibilities... Congrats, Palouche!
