Quote: Numisma - can you eat it, if the answer is no, then the coin is invalid Quote: What does prickly pear taste like? These small fruits are described as being very sweet. The deep purple juice that the fruit holds is especially tasty, which is why it's added to a variety of beverages and cocktails in certain countries. So I say yes you can eat them

I didn't expect the prickly pear's status as a fruit to be so controversial! Many different foods/drinks are made from it, including jams and jellies. We have them on our property, too, but I don't think I've ever actually eaten any. Give me a bit to think up a challenge.

Let's stick with the Mexican theme and do a simple matching round. You may even post the exact coin if you want... Scoring:Primarily copper coin - 1 pt Dated 1960 - 2 pts Any other date ending in "60" - 1 pt Denomination of 20 - 1 pt Unit begins with "cent" - 1 pt Eagle - 1 pt Snake - 1 pt Cactus - 1 pt Oak leaves - 1 pt Laurel leaves - 1 pt Pyramid - 2 pts Mountain(s) - 1 pt Phrygian cap - 1 pt "Liberty" in any language - 1 pt Rays (of light) - 1 pt Plus...The diameter of your coin will be added directly to your point total! Highest Score WinsIn case of a tie, the earliest post wins. An exact match may or may not win.

A tough first entry! Dorado - 42.5 ptsA bigger coin could make up for lack of matching elements, though...

Don't sell yourself short on the diameter, jbuck! And you left out "oak leaves" so you get an extra point. StandingsDorado - 42.5 jbuck - 25.05Anyone else?

This feels like a sellout, but it's worth the most points.
Eagle: 1
Oak leaves: 1
Laurel leaves: 1
Mountains: 1
Phrygian cap: 1 (I think this counts, but I couldn't find it in writing)
"Liberty": 1
Rays of light: 1
Diameter: 40.6
Total: 47.6
