It's been almost three days and we've had four (or five) good entries. This is a final reminder for participation and I'll end the round sometime this evening.

12 points - -1 point for size as 20mm is borderline and as I am after big silver coins, I round it down.

1 point for silver purity as halfgroats were a very LOW denomination coin and often had under 50% silver and some even were basically billion.

However you get 5 points for a battle scene, your knight is charging on the horse and is holding his sword ready to cut the enemy down - so you get battlepoints.

Great entry - it's going to be hard to top.

PS I used 1790 and I knew I would see a sea of early 19th century American coins that have absolutely nothing to do with Renaissance Europe and bewigged rulers surrounded by lions, crowns, medieval castles and heart shaped ruffs.
