I thought of a good candidate, but turns out it's ineligible because apparently there's been an extremely rare issue (possibly a pattern) in one of the intervening years.
I did think of a few more candidates which should qualify... assuming I had the coins, anyway. (In one case I could at least plausibly get the coins on short notice.)

Um Dorado - its the gap between 2 separate issues of the same design with no intervening years, not the longest period a design was used for continuously.
Those Sols, were issued practically every year from 1868 through to the 1930s. I know, my one is dated 1869, just 1 year later.

One would argue that you could not legally possess it. However, let us play along with your supposition...  It would not be disqualified. It would just be 57 years instead of 86. Still more than the two 18 year examples provided. Still a winner.  |

Ok lets try this. Coin with denomination on both sides Winner will be determined by addition ie 24+24+1675=1723 Points. 1675 Principality of Brunswick-Wolfenbüttel 24 Mariengroschen = 1 Gulden (2/3)   Lets hope there are some out there  |
