Boy it's nice to win, but then have to find another really great example to put up. Let's try this one.

CHALLENGE

It has been said that a picture tells a thousand words. Well so can coins. This is a 1957 5 Rupee from Ceylon (Sri Lanka).

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

I thought of this after Mark1959 sent me a funny video of Runner ducks(look 'em up on YouTube). On the reverse are pictures of animals, 5 different examples and a total of 24 images. One thing missing on this coin is picture(s) of dead (or living) people. So, for displaying a coin WITHOUT a human on it, you will receive 1 bonus point! I'm looking for coins with animals on them. Points will be awarded for: the total number of animals found on A SINGLE face of the coin(not both). So if you have three robins in a nest with a vulture overhead, that would be 5 points(4+1), But no bonus 'cuz King Louie is on the front! I will also award 1 point if you PM me with the reason this issue is considered low mintage.(we don't want it out in the open now, do we?)

Points as follows:

1 point for each animal pictured
1 point for each variety of animal pictured
1 point bonus for no human pictured
1 point for PM w/reason of low mintage.

In the above example that would be a total of 30 points, 24 pictured + 5 kinds + 1 Bonus = 30 points
(Technically it is 31, I know the answer...)

The above pictured coin CANNOT be used as an entry! I already did!

I'm curious to see if there are many coins with a lot of animal pix on them. I can think of some other "artwork" type coins only....hmmmmm....there must be more...

This is certainly an interesting challenge!

I will have to scour tomorrow.

Although there is a human on this 1 krone piece from Denmark, I think this is the coin of mine that will get me the most points:

Yet-Another-Forum-Game---Numismatic-Go-Fish!

On the coat of arms, there are:
Six lions,
Two horses,
One dragon,
One bear,
One goat, and
One swan.

Good challenge!

I'll have to see what will get me the most points, sinc my wife made me pack most of my world collection into a more or less inaccessible box.

I wonder what would be the theoretical most points for this challenge? I want to say that Tonga has a 50 and/or 100 denomination with 50 or 100 fish.

50 seniti, and it does in fact have 50 fish on it. There's also a 100, but it has plants.
(There's a human on the other side, and all the fish are the same, so it would only get 51 points.)

Won't be surprised if there's something with an even higher point count, however.
Rest in Peace

I just love the smell of bacon cooking in the morning, that sizzling of minds....

So far Joseph7420 with his coat of arms entry is in the lead with 18 points (12 + 6)! Good job, one of the areas I had thought of for examples of animals. Those ruling families found traits of animals as depictions of their own perceived strengths.

Anyone know of a coat of arms with a" donkey's cousin" on it?

Ideas don't translate into points folks. Show me the money!

This is going to be interesting. I like your idea of not having a "set" upper limit on the points. Who knows what a high point coin will be in this round. The Best coin from my previous uploads would only get 8 points, so I'm going to have to do some digging for this one.
