Surprisingly not seen: any 10 ruble commemoratives (other than the match).

So I have chosen something completely different. This is a recent purchase from my LCS. Whoever bought it originally paid 35 cents. I paid less.

Here we have an example of "moon money".

Crazy though it may seem, this is actually listed in Krause "Unusual world coins", as x#1, the only one "issued" from the moon. It is listed in numista.

That catalogue states that it was issued in 1969, rather obviously inspired by the landing of the first man on the moon.

Non English speakers may be interested to know that the Cow jumping over the moon is a reference to an English nursery rhyme.
