Found a $50 note that seems to have a symbol on it has anyone seen this before or know what it Means? (It is not a small bank ink stamp)
Heres a photo and 1 for comparison.

@macca, first welcome to CCF. Second, please have a little bit more patience with waiting for a reply to your post. I know that it is night in your neck of the woods, but it is still morning here in the US and so it may be a little while before someone weighs in on that interesting stamp/mark on your note.

It is a moneychanger's stamp. You said in your other thread that it doesn't come off in acetone. However, not all ink stains will come off in acetone.

In Australia, it is illegal for banks, shops, private individuals or anyone else to place any kind of mark or stamp on a note. However, this law does not apply overseas. Money exchangers, particularly in Asia, are in the habit of placing these small marks onto banknotes that they handle.
