Just grabbed this the other day. I've always been a Lincoln fan, and I also like commemoratives, and this coin seemed nice for the price.

What would you grade it? It's in a basement slab, but I ignored that when buying (I'll show the slab after a couple of days), and I want to see how close I was to what you all think of it.

First 2 pics are just to show the luster, and the following are so the light doesn't conceal anything.

My humble opinion....

Genuine (that's good) ! ... above average strike ... note in particular on this coin the eagle neck feathers on the reverse for strike quality.

The marks on the obverse fields and Lincoln portrait IMHO hold this otherwise lovely example back from Gem-MS

I'm in for MS64 ... lovely historic coin indeed and I appreciate you sharing it with us.

My grade is 63. On the slab, probably says 66 or 67.

Stronger than average strike, liquid undisturbed luster, no hint of circulation. Never cleaned nor dipped.

Excellent idea showing the different angles of the light as it gives a much more complete story. Good photos.

Straight on 64.

As others have mentioned, the coin exhibits a very nice strike and excellent luster. I'm sure the piece has wonderful eye appeal in hand. Congrats on the purchase!

My eyes see enough marks/surface disturbances to envision PCGS encapsulating it as MS-63.

Agree - Scratch in right field would hold this to 63, I believe.
