Prices have been all over the map. Populations of sample slabs produced are rarely announced, but most are 500 or more. To date I have over 120 cent sample slabs.

Interesting and I'm certain of real interest to the collectors who seek these slabs.

Wonder what the long term interest/value in these will be?

There was a CCF member long ago who made a valiant attempt to document the PCGS sample slabs history ... the beginnings of an on-line catalog classification.

I believe alas that attempt died with him ... has anyone else picked up that torch and moved forward with cataloging these slabs?
Take a look at my other hobby ... http://www.jk-dk.art

Yes, David Swager has published a book, in the 2nd edition now, that is the most complete listing of samples out there. Titled Sample Slabs it is 600+ pages and can be found on ebay. I have found it to be very informative and useful.

Disclosure: I am a un-paid contributor to the book. I supply pics of my cent sample slabs to David

I pick up the first three on my one day in Denver, no Phil Arnold or David Hall. I read that I could have asked for the other two since I was only in town for a day...missed that opportunity.

That's too bad you didn't get the other samples. Any chance you attended the informal sample collectors get together?
