1962 - 1982 should weigh 3.11 grams, NGC and PGCS are the 2 most popular.

Welcome to Coin Community.
Your first step should be to explore why these coins are so radically off their specified weight. Those figures are beyond any tolerance limit, and should therefore be approached with suspicion and the willingness to be proved wrong, rather than the immediate assumption that they're "special."
Could we possibly see images of the coins in question? And, does the scale they were weighed on resolve to 0.01g? This is the standard by which coins ought to be weighed, although it wouldn't be relevant for the 1975 since that weight is so low.

new member. There are several factors that would need to be considered before an opinion can be rendered about getting these graded. for the underweight one- is it badly worn? for the overweight one- is there anything (glue, gunk, dirt...) stuck to it? Scale accuracy. some scales are only accurate within =/- .1 grams. There is a tolerance at the US mint for weight discrepancy. I believe that the weights you have mentioned are not within tolerance, but combining the above factors may make them within tolerance. A few pictures would go a long way in assisting the members here to give an opinion.

Both are out of tolerance, can't say much about the underweight coin without seeing it, it could have been chemically damaged after striking to reduce the weight. The overweight coin IS out of tolerance but by such a small amount (.06 grams) that it would not garner enough interest to make it worth certifying. Find one that weighs 4 grams or more and then you've got something.

Howdy, ashorefind, welcome to CCF! I'm picture ignorant, but I don't think you can get here from there. The dimensions don't line up. Try printing in the physical dimensions and then re-virtualizing in acceptable picturization dimensions. OK, just being funny. Someone will help you. Just not me.
