I found this CRH today in a circulated bankroll from a bank box of U.S. Pennies. The U.S. Mint tried to polished the clashe away as hard as they could, but they failed to completely get rid of the obverse clash do to being so big. It must of been a huge Die Clash event that caused this giant Die Clash. It's a very impressive one as it is easy to see still. This is now my all time favorite Die Clash in my collection! And yes, it might not be worth as much as a regular one with no die polishing at all, but I love it!

Nice one EandV! About every one we see has been polished. They hit the die so hard and the mint can't polish but so deep. Nice Prisoner Cent!

Thank you. It's a nice example of a polished Die Clash, but it is still very visible do to how hard the die struck together.

Funny, just today I found an LMC clash that you had to reflect in the light to see! We're opposites.

RoyCoinBoy, that's funny. I have more than just this one. I have three others that have not been polished. What a coincidence though.

Odd, I see the image of the reverse on the obverse, but it doesn't look like a clash. I also don't see evidence of excessive die polishing. No polish lines and no low relief detail loss.

with conder101,also the angle in which the clashed Bays are tilted versus being for the most part parallel with LIBERTY raises a question for me,there is just too much rotation

I agree. it is just a light clash did not damage the dies that much. So if this die would have been polished, it would have removed this light clash.

Conder101 what are you talking about? There are tons of polishing lines on this coin. I threw it back in my pile for CoinStar.

There are older polishing lines. This one looks like a new clash mark. Note the affected area does not have the die scratches through it. It would have been a minor one, so don't beat yourself up about. Just trying to help note what I see on the clash that tells me it wasn't polished after the clash. There is on the second image a couple line intersecting the the clash mark (stronger older scratches) but some areas where the clash is, there were some doe scratches that were flattened as well.

Thanks Coop. Since it was minor, I threw it back in my pile because I have better Die Clashes in my collection.
