VF35 for me.

Politely suggest that you consider the impact your chosen topic titles have on your prospective responders ....

You topic title provides zero insight on the topic .... topic titles are important!

You provided as a topic title: 'I just got it today, any thoughts on a grade'

We truly want to be helpful .... so you should realize that for any of us to take the time and choose to read the thread ... we need to choose from the many competing options with limited time to do so.

To (hopefully) help .... here is my suggestion for a better topic title for this coin:

1931-S LWC for Grading

Be specific in your topic title on what the subject is ... you can add all the 'got it today' information in the body of your thread as needed.

It's at the top of the VF range, 35. Nothing wrong with that for a lower mintage Lincoln.

I'm guessing that, given the mintage, most of these were out of circulation by 1950 or so - they are seldom seen below VF. In EF-Unc grades they are much more common than many of their D and S mint counterparts from the 1920s.

I'm in at 35 as well! How bad is that scratch in front of Lincoln's face?
