MS 65
I like the crispness of the initial LCW.

With the new pics i'd say a 64. PCGS looks at the devices more, and with the hit on the neck, cheek and hair, I don't think they'd give a 65

I am aware of the grade and someone did nail it. It is a MS coin. From the auction listing " A fully struck
example with an early die state reverse that has lightly cameoed devices on semi-mirrored fields. A very
lustrous piece that has an attractive pale golden toning with light amber and slate blue accents in the
legends and devices". A nice coin as all MS Victorian fifty cent pieces are very scarce.

Beauty coin, those dies are so sharp, looks specimen, though I don't think it's a true specimen.

I'll say ms62 I can't rap my head around the coin looking a little handled even though it looks gem.

Both ICCS and PCGS gave this coin a grade of MS-63. I think it might have done better if not for the hit on Victoria's neck and some chatter on the reverse below and to the right of the crown.

Thanks again to everyone who participated.

In my earlier post I was referring to TheCoinHunter as nailing the grade. This coin appeared in the 2000 CNA auction
where it did not sell. It was graded as a PCGS 62 at that time. It was upgraded to a 63 sometime between 2002-2005
Congratulations Peter4805 if you achieved the upgrade. Best of both worlds as it is graded as a 63 by PCGS and ICCS.

Everest, I bought the coin recently as it is graded now. Thanks for the interesting back story on it I wasn't aware of any of that.
