This is some type of gunk on the coin and is very worn from circulation. Might not be the answer you want to get, but I'm telling you the truth. No extra added value. Worth 1 cent. Stay on here so you can learn for awhile. Also the motto looks like that do to being struck on a Deterioratating die. LDS (Late Die State). Errers and Varietys. As far as it being off center, I read that if the bust touches the rim that was an indication of the coin being off center. The area of the damage (chin) protrudes from the coin and is not flush with rest which seemed unusual. Thank you for your input. Report this Post to the Staff
