Quote:I guess what counts as an odd denomination can be subjective, but I am going to go with the values listed in this thread. Thanks Joseph! I wasn't aware of that list. From it, I think I have my best to post. 1916 Panama 2-1/2 Centesimos, KM# 7.2 (CuNi) Mintage: 800,000 (struck in the U.S., probably on nickel planchets?) I may come up with something else later for this, the second day of World Coins.

Thanks @tng. Here is a 1539 AD coin from the German Duchy of Prussia (Kopicki 3803). It's rarity level is r1 so there are an estimated 15,001 to 80,000 pieces extant. My coin started out as a 3 Groszy, but with that bite out of it, maybe it is more like a 2.9 Groszy now?

My lowest-mintage coin with a definitive mintage: Hutt River Province, 50 cents 1977 Mintage 5,000 Sorry for the photos in the 2x2, haven't bothered cutting it loose yet. If you are scratching your head right now trying to find Hitt River Province on a map, it is actually a "Micronation" founded in 1970 when "prince" Leonard Casley butted heads with Australia over wheat production quotas, and "seceded" his farm in protest. He carried on business as usual, and issued coins, passports, and stamps for Hutt River, which no country recognizes in any capacity whatsoever.

NumisRob I'll join you with an 1885 One Third Farthing with Queen Victoria ( last year minted ) which also has a 288,000 mintage figure best info I can find. Spence it looks like Kopicki bit that off himself and it is stowed in his cheek. The eyes cannot hide he is guilty. Great posts! Thank you!

@tng, well played! One small correction, though, is that the bust on that coin is of Albert, Duke of Prussia. Edmund Kopicki is the author of the definitive catalog of medieval Polish coins.

Was surprised to find that I do have some odd world coins. After a little searching, I found a few 2 1/2 and 2.5 denominations, but then I found this one. 1936 3 Kopecks from the Soviet Union, mintage 62,757,000. Another coin of interest was a 1960 Romanian 15 Bani, but it has a much higher mintage.

1876 Shield nickel but it is a doubled die. I am not convinced the date is doubled but there are other areas that certainly are. Believe this to be 1876 DDO FS-102 Total mintage 1876 is 2,530,000
