Hi All,

Need any information any CCF member can provide regarding this medallion. Tried Google and cannot find anything matching this item.

Apollo-11-Copper-Medallion

Weight 23.1 grams.
Diameter 39 mm.

Metal content is mainly copper with some Zinc mixed in.

Any info - detail or value, for this item will be greatly appreciated.

At the time of the moon mission to the present, 1000s of medals have been produced. You may need to go over it carefully with a magnifying glass or loupe to see if you can find a makers mark.

If you haven't already check the edge for a maker's mark.

This website has images of several of the Apollo medal sets produced by various makers http://www.spacecollection.info/us_..._medals.html it is by no means complete but a good reference site.
