1948 P Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC With Clipped Planchet (Incomplete Planchet) Error?

Errers and Varietys Bedrock of the Community United States 74624 Posts	Posted 08/21/2017 5:37 pm I found this a couple days ago going through and sorting my huge mix pile of Wheat cents, Canadian coins, and World coins. Is this a real clip or not? I see tapering on the rims, but no Blakesley effect and the clips are also absent on the reverse side of the coin. Crazyb0 Rest in Peace 10197 Posts	Posted 08/21/2017 6:01 pm Don't think so, possibly one by date. By liberty doesn't have enough parabola evenly, seems a wearing/rubbing of some sort. By the 8 the angle is wrong, too straight across the rim, should be curving. Also there should be effect on reverse opposite butvis too strongly/evenly struck.? BINGO!
