to the family! Little Johnnie in the Garage with stacked pennies in a vise or with a hammer. Man-made monsters. Sorry, not winning the error coin lottery with that one. I think Little Johnnie oughta get whacked for each time he abused those poor Mr. Lincoln's!

I just wanted to make sure I understood thats because the FG and other lettering is backwards right? A true die clash would look like it was stamped a second time correct?

Correct, Buck. If it's reversed its a vise job or glue left between two coins to make it look like a reverse strike, which it's not.

Generally, the "prisoner" cent is a die clash, the imprint from the bays of a the memorial will be raised and horizontal on either side of the bust. Because the bust image on the die is incuse, no impressions of the reverse clash are left...meaning NOTHING shows across the bust...this goes for all the raised details on reverse. In short, clashes only show in flat field areas of a coin.
