Have you checked the banks in your area? I would say that's the easiest way to get them at face value. Anyone can do it by the way, you don't have to be a dealer. Just go in and ask for a $25 box of pennies. You may want to check ahead of time to make sure that they're 2008, it's also possible to get mixed boxes.

My extra Two Cents: People are hoarding these coins because "it's the last year with the memorial reverse". What will happen is so many people will hoard them that further on down the road, everyone will still have them and they won't be worth much.

you should be able to get them at face value at your bank, the only thing is there is no guarantee that it will be a box of 2008's, it could be a box of mixed dates or another date all together. It is just a chance you have to take if you want the box of 2008's

The vast majority of commercial dealers will not deal with current issues cents or any other non-commemorative current business strike issue, too much of a hassle to stock and slim profit margin. I am not sure why everyone is so hyped to buy 2008 cents, there is nothing special about them and even though it is the last Memorial design, there will be billions minted so no rarity there. All you need to do to get it at face is call around to banks and find out who has one. The Mint does not sell them so they only way to obtain is through the banking system- that is where everyone on ebay gets them

I'll get 5 or 10 singles for future albums.....but I'm not interested in the rolls either for that very reason.......

ONE MORE THING........
I know it's insignificant in the order of the world but......in your "topic" heading....."2008pennie"....you've misspelled it!...it should read "2008penni" instead.....because when referring to more than one "cent" or "pennie"......."they" (as in more than one) are referred to as "penni".........

Actually, in the Queen's English, the proper plural of penny is pence...
