Is this some sort of souvenir coin?
As it's not brown.

I have seen a genuine Australian copper nickel Penny off metal strike, but that was on display in a viewer gallery at the Royal Australian Mint in Canberra.

From the pictures, I would say that this one is plated. My guess for the plating metal is nickel; there is enough shine for nickel.
Most probably a victim of a plating experiment in a high school chemical laboratory.

A standard bronze halfpenny weighs 5.67 grams, diameter 25.5mm.

In all of my collecting experience, which covers more decades that I am prepared to admit,
I have never heard of an off metal strike Halfpenny.
A search of Google Images:
"off metal strike halfpenny" fails to produce an image of an example, and Google Images is pretty good at searching such thing out.

Probably silver plated but would expect them to be shiny. What the other sides look like?
