Idk I flipped it and it doesn't have a copper ring to it. Feels like a regular 1987 cent. I took a pic by a lighter so there be more of a gauge in color

The mushyness of details, memorial, coat, beard, hair makes it look plated. It is unusual to have that deeply struck, defined rims for an 87

K I'll buy a scale tmrw and let ya know. Any ideas tho on the possibilities if under weight/ or overweight. Here's the rim it stays consistent all the way around

The thickness of the rim is a function of striking pressure, a full strong strike will create a thicker rim than a weak strike.
