My vote is counterfeit. Only chance is a large 7, but for starters the date and fraction don't match. The bust and LIBERTY are into the rim...is it struck off center? I'd pass.

edit: Sorry, but upon further inspection, it might be genuine. There is a small die crack from C to the last leaf on the reverse. Also on the obverse what appears to be some kind of clash behind the hair also shows up on VarietyPlus. There's also a rim Cud over ST which appears to show up on yours. S-273 Large 7

The surface seem strange and not sure why but it seems to match up right. If fake I think a dang good one.

I'm sorry, but I'm in the non-genuine category too.

I like the clash marks. I don't know...I don't see anything on this coin that makes me think it is fake. It's a tough decision but when you have raw coins like this it is better to proceed with caution especially when the deal seems to good to be true.

I'm no expert but I think it's authentic. It matches up to my very worn S-273 large 7 rather well with both obverse and reverse markers. I think I see the matching small die crack near C in America.

Perhaps someone with a better trained eye than I may disagree.

It's real...a little off center, but real. Will go for big bucks, a bit out of my league.

This is one of the biggest in-your-face overdates in the Large Cent series. Super example.
