Hello all,

I recently got these items at a auction and was wondering your thoughts.

I've been eyeing these items for awhile and I am excited to add them to my collection.

I paid $461.18 Canadian with buyers premium for the lot.

I missed out on the T-Rex coin to complete the collection of dino coins. I guess I'll be on the look out for it. Wondering why the T-rex coin went for so much money, is it a hard one to fine.

The fractional set is a maple leaf 125 anniversary from 2013.

That is what matters most! I'm glad you were able to add some coins that you were seeking - it's always a good feeling when it happens!

The total price you paid is within the expected range - it seems fair.

There are multiple T-Rex coins currently listed on ebay if you are interested.

Those Prehistoric series dinos are great. Always liked them (have them all and duplicates of some).

Here is the T-Rex at a good price. https://www.colonialacres.com/product-p/623429.htm

Congrats for the nice coins pickup.

The dynos was neat series. I had only 2010 coins and enjoyed them.
The disadvantage, imo, was that on my coins the "brown" areas were too dark, and from the quick glance the incusive design of all the picture hasn't been noticeable.

The 2013 Fractional set is great as well. It was minted after long period without such item.
Design of the Maple Leaf - well, not ideal, but double dated with the young Queen - makes this set to pop.

Here is the breakdown on what it cost me.

2007 dino was $100.30
2008 dino was $70.80
2010's were $33.04 each.
The T-rex ended up selling for $50 plus bucks.

Thank you for the reference on the T-Rex coin. I think I'll hold off from buying it for a bit as I'll try and find it for cheaper at some of the online auctions.

As for the fractional set, I wanted a silver maple for my collection and getting the set made it a easy decision, even though I had to pay $224.20 for it. It will look nice on display in my living room and make for some good conversations. I hope the camoe is as nice as the ones in your set.

Congratulations on your coin pick ups.

I see you got your coins from yesterday's Canadian Numismatic Company's coin auction, posted in my coin auction thread. Always a good site to pick up bargains.

Yes, I've been been collecting for 3 months now. Their site was one of the first I came across. I enjoy how it works and enjoy the money clanking sound when a lot has been sold, lol.

Their estimates on grades are usually pretty close to what they state, but their close up photo's are the best and you can really asses the coin and grade on your own.

Has anyone ever sold on their site before. Would love to know what your experience was like.
