hi, I was told when I got these, they were mule star notes, as I was told, that if they have #447 backing plate number they were from a 1957b backing plate #. insights welcome

Series 1963 $1 FRN back plate numbers 397,406,408,419,422,429,432,434,435,436,437,439,441,442,443,444,445,446 and 447 on all A-suffix and all star notes are mules. The back plates mentioned were used on previously issued 1957B Silver Certificates. The B-suffixed blocks known are BB and GB which used back plates 443 and 445.

@steve I've heard of the 408 back plate, but to my knowledge it has never been confirmed. Have you seen one or know someone who owns one? I'd love to get my hands on one. Thanks!
