There are many many collectors of the silver dollars-
Every collection likely has a few...
Many are to found-no matter how deep or shallow one's pockets pockets-very accessible coin.
First large coin in our hands as youngsters
Lots of love out there for the silver dollar

Question now is where could the big coin series go next-
Not many options-gotta be the end of the ride for the bluenose caribou and beaver.
They've had a good run.
Colville done.
Maybe a variety of classic commemorative next year is my guess.

This could be interesting development.

See, the RCM initiated their series of 2 oz Silver Dollar, which will not prevent CC&C to start the Big Silver Dollars (5oz) and Voyageur is a "pilot".

In addition, like you said - "commemoratives" - all variety of 25c - the select designs from them will be amazing to see in 5oz format - 1992 Provincial coins ( ATB - great example)

There could be coloured coins, larger sizes, or different metals. It really depends where the RCM decides to take it next...

There are lots of these sets around to purchase. TSC has many as I earlier stated and cdncoin and others. This set is just to pricey for it to be a rare find. Just another big coin set. overkill, imo.

Talisman listed the single Voyageur for USD $449

http://talismancoins.com/products/08796

Will be 2018 the "killer" of 2015 one?

The pluses:
**More affordable at this moment
**More than twice metal content (will cost more, when everything will go for melt)
**Bigger canvas - more space fore timeless art work.
**Pink rose gold on coins - this is the new yellow gold.

Minuses:
**Imo, on the obverse should be King George V
**Issued in the 2018, which doesn't commemorate the original coin neither 150-Anniversary

Would you try sell your 2oz Voyageur, before the price will decrease? (or maybe will not decrease)

Added:
Checking the local adds, I see, that the coin is available directly in the Toronto.
CAD 599.95, all new in package. No ebay fees. The seller (as per text in add, already sold 3 of them)
So...whoever missed - this is the chance to get.

Got my Voyageur coin today, very nice coin in-hand! There is much more detail on this coin compared to the 2015 Voyageur, the coin almost has a small high-relief on the reverse! Very impressed!

Very nice coin, and thank you for pictures!

As well, the times, where we waited weeks for coins to arrive - in the past. I see the dealers and the CP mailing coins really asap.

Now, who can explain the relation of this coin with QEII in the obverse to the 2018 Penny and other coins in the set?

Mix and grab money from RCM and CC&C side.

Nice coins anyway.

So what are the chances, that some time next year, they will change their minds and sell the Penny Big Coin as a single due to low subscriptions?

If any dealer sells that 5 ounce penny on its own, I will be very angry. It is in writing on the RCM site as well as CC&C that this penny comes with the wooden box at the end of the 7 coin subscription.

I will ask for a refund for every single coin.
