i need the experts help on this 1971 penny ... I am checking my 1970ssss pennies . here are some pictures ... it looks like deterioration to me ,,, but then it looks like double ,,,, I hope I can tell the difference soon

Question to you: Are the devices INCREASED in overall size, or is the appearance DECREASED in size? The answer is found in this question. One is true hub doubling the other is mechanical damage.

Again, size matters! Compare your letter size to this example, your letters are normal sized but reduced in appearances, the DDOs are actually larger overall
