Among a collection of notes that my dad past along to my son was this 50 Traders Bank note.

Working on researching it and determining if its real.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Most of these are reprints made in the 20th Century.

I've seen a ton of reprints, and only a few genuine notes.

Here's a page of Traders Bank of Virginia notes; https://currency.ha.com/c/search-re...&limitTo=all

Must agree, and this one does not appear old.

That note is absolutely from the reprint sheets off the original plates, if I remember correctly they're from the 1960's. As recently as last year I saw a dealer with a stack of these sheets for $15 a sheet. For whatever reason some dealers sell these singles for ridiculous prices.
