So I've been doing research on coin grading. I know the process sending your coin or coins in and they grade them and send them back. However the fees have me confused, is it more economical to send more then one? Would something like this be worth it just so add value to a collection I'm building to pass down to the kids later? Any input in layman's terms is appreciated. And Yay for success in Photo upload success! Thanks Candi

Most modern coins will not have a financial upside from grading unless they get exceptionally high grades.Simply put, your coin, if it is Uncirculated, which I am not convinced that it is, would not make the grade simply on account of the scratches about George's eye. (Not to mention some others). Check ebay or other online sales records for prices of MS62-65 versions of the coin you are considering and let that guide you whether you are making a good investment to send it in.
Good luck.
Rest in Peace

It is EXTREMELY rare to find a modern coin that is worth sending to any of the TPG. The quarter you are presenting would not be worth the cost of grading it.

It's best to learn a bit about the resulting prices for specific coins in specific grades before attempting to submit any of them to TPG's.

As Big Silver noted, you can always use the ebay sold or completed prices for an item you consider outstanding, and we can usually be of help here in determining the likelihood of a coin getting a high grade.

It is always best to submit a number of coins at the same time to cut down on the postage costs for each one, unless you are giving them directly to a dealer who sends coins in on a regular basis. Then he will probably only charge a smaller amount over the actual submission costs.

It would make a spectacular circulation find.

It has an extremely good strike.

Quarters from '84 to the early '90's are among the toughest to find really nice with a minimum of wear.
Time don't fly, it bounds and leaps.
