Hi, I was coin roll hunting and I found this. Is this a woody?

No, some sort of machine, counter markings. May come off with acetone? A woodie is a styriated planchet, varying widths and uneven, the lines on yours are evenly spaced and linear in shape and direction.

For some reason not a lot of woodies show up in LMCs. Maybe quality control was better but LWCs seem to have the majority, especially the earlier years before WW2. the making of planchet stock has/improved over time, the mixing of the alloys is more thorough and controlled. Back then they justvtossed scraps into the mix, some brass/scraps didn't mix fully when extruded into sheet stock. That's what causes the streaks, a higher brass content over a copper/bronze mix.

Those are roller marks on the sheets from which the planchets are punched. They will not come off with acetone and I think they are cool.

Roller Marks - yet another coin type that you absolutely must have MORE of. I'd still keep that one as a good example of same.
