Im and old 64 1/2 yr old lady. Ive had this coin in my draw for years. Just took it out and thought id try do find out something about it.

Not at all, it is a straight forward answer by coinfrog, PMD=Post Mint Damage, which occurred after its release from mint and in circulation.It is an accurate respond not a personal attack.

Looks like somebody (for some reason) used an oxy-acetylene torch on it and the liquid metal from the rim blew back onto the surface of the cent.
