Thanks to Andre for sending me this interesting coin! I've included a high resolution photo so you can appreciate the details too.
Take a look at the beads near the corners of the coin--which are probably degraded due to stresses concentrated at the corners of the die.
The cracks radiating from the letters in CANADA probably suggest this die had seen a lot of use when it struck this coin.

Nice loonie you got there and a exellent photo showing all the detail of the REV.

Like I was asking you before if you liked chips,well now you have planty on this coin.That could be one of a kind we never know.

Kurt, I didn't see that one, until you pointed it out, but there are enough chips around the rim in the beads, that makes it look lke the spilled a bag of popcorn on it!
