I have a set of Indian heads and minus some keys but several nice Red Bu and most with full liberty as I kept updating for better when I could find them. Not complete but decent set.
Just want to know how sales on these are going and on Buffalos also.

Thanks Gary

Seems to me there is always a market for Indian Head cents - I don't know about the Buffalo nickels.
Rest in Peace

Yeah I think the Buffaloes are not as hot as the Indians .
I for one have a lot more full Liberty IHC than full horn Buff's .

I agree. Buffaloes are only 'hot' when considering the key dates. But those babies can be very hot! Think 1913 type II reverse matte proof. Pricey.

IHCs are, like the others stated, are seemingly just as popular and sought after as LMCs.

Agree w/the above but would add that good quality classic coins with good eye appeal pretty much always have a market, regardless of series. It sounds like your sets are well put together and should be able to find easy buyers. As a certain large dealer once told me, "the only thing I will always buy is quality."

"the only thing I will always buy is quality."

Did he by chance follow that up with 'except silver culls for near face value'

I don't recall him being interested in the handful of junk silver (mostly Barbers/a few Morgans) I was trying to unload, at all. But when a dealer's idea of "cheap coins" is $200-$500, well..yeah. I couldn't afford anything in his cases, and the only reason I talked to him at all was because he saw me gawping at something or other in one of the cases and came over. This was back in the mid 90s before I took a 15+ year break from the hobby thanks to college debt and a wife who wanted to live like a million bucks on my 1200 a month.

Haha, wow. If I was him maybe cheap bulk silver coins would be uninteresting after all. Sounds like he had a lot of goodies if his opinion of a cheap coin was $200+! My goodness!

Not to be offensive, but did she get over the high spending or did you get over her? A million dollar lifestyle isn't very sustainable

She's my ex-wife these days, for the last 10 years or so, that should answer that question ;)

Better grade Indians and Buffalos are always in demand.

By better grade I mean 50+ for later dates in both series, and VF for semi-keys, down to nice Fine for keys.

Cleaned coins will dissuade the majority of buyers unless they don't know cleaned, or just want cheap prices.

Thanks for any info.

I always like to upgrade any time I can afford to. and IHC are my favorites, but its taken me a long time to get what I have gotten.

I kick my rear for selling my complete Buffalos with 37D 3 leg with almost full horn But divorce can be costly.

Gary: Sell it to a friend for face value (5 cents per coin), give half of that amount to your wife, after the divorce is final, buy it back from your friend for face value. ;)

Edit: If you're generous, you could also throw in 10 bucks for the Dansco and split that, too :P

Good idea Paralyse,

But I got divorced in 1980,s. If there were a way I would still have the sets I sold. But silver was high and I wanted to keep the house.
