I'm wondering about the authenticity of this coin at a local auction. I have my concerns, but I'd like other opinions. Thanks!

How much did it go for? That is a high quality example of a common coin. It looks to be in near mint condition. Condition would be the big deal with this coin.
Rest in Peace

My concerns are that the shape of the second 9 looks slightly different than the first 9, and some of the letters on the reverse appear slightly too thick, including the bottom of the E in DIME, and the bottom of the N in ONE. Could the widening of the letters be due to metal flow on a late state die? Maybe I'm being too cautious....
Rest in Peace

Nice coin. A bit of the stretch marks from late die state.

Looks real enough.

But I can't tell whether there's any rubbing or not from those photo.

The rim is somewhat odd, as though the dies were slightly misaligned, but otherwise, the coin looks authentic.

The color, on the other hand, is bizarre, and I am tempted to think most of it is lighting.

I don't see any reason not to buy it if it looks good in hand and it's within your price/budget.
