Hi,I'm new to coin collecting and found this last night 1968 s penny and don't know if it's a double die or Machine Doubling

1968-1970 (all mints, SF in particular) are notorious for extreme die movements upon strike.

This is just MD ( Machine Doubling). Not worth anything as it's a very common thing to happen in the U.S. Mint. Worth only face value except for Copper melt value. Keep it if you want to just for comparison purposes. To CCF!

Thanks guys had been coming to this forum to get answers to questions I had but just joined today thanks again I'll keep looking because my mother just gave me a whole slew of coins to go through and check, Indian heads (I have one I'll post in a few that looks like it was struck again but hard to tell because of the Cud on it) mercs,rosies,,v nickels,buffalos,silver quarters,halves,and several Morgan's which are pretty nice (but 2 of them had some kind of glue on them) I'll keep looking through them throughout the next week and post what I find interesting or if I have a question. Thanks again

belart, acetone on the coins with glue, let them soak and rinse with distilled water
