I bought these Planchets quite I while ago thinking they would be very educational and enlightening to the steps taken before the coins are minted.
Just thought I'd share as some may not have seen the stages before and hopefully open up a discussion.
One observation I've made is that you can see striation lines in the first two stages but the bottom coin they are mostly missing and it has a shinny appearance.
First coin is a type I, the second is a type II and the third is a type II that is burnished.

Are they silver? Have you weighed them? Would be cool if you could narrow down a series!

The ones with the rims are pretty darn awesome.

Redifin the weight of each is 2.1 grams by my scales and with that weight I believe they would fall anywhere between 1968-2000.
I'm not sure if there's any way to narrow it down any further.
