That's a really nice example - if they all look like that they might be worth holding onto. How big are your containers? Maybe make up a roll or two and sell them if you have alot.

First, the example you show is a lot nicer than very fine. At least AU, and possibly full mint state.

You should check for errors specific to this date and mint mark.

Then you should check the steps of Monticello on the reverse. Full steps for this issue are quite scarce and would deserve a premium.

Search full steps at top right and you'll see many threads with full explanation and examples.

I have 5 cointainers that hold $2, they all look like this one some are a little nicer. I looked for the full steps but none have it. I did find a 1999 with full steps I don't know if it's a year that would matter though.

Go through them all and pick out the best and put in 2x2's.I see lots of nicks and scratches so be extra picky on the ones you keep.

I would definitely keep the best of them. Even some of the better ones might be worth keeping, considering the age.
Rest in Peace

, with john1 . A 63-D Jefferson is not exactly a sort after coin . Just save the crème of the crop .

Learn how to note Full Steps on Jefferson nickels, and look through every single one of these for an example. 1963-D is among the rarest of all Jeffersons with Full Steps, and you've got a coin of substantial value if you find one. Here's a recent discussion which will shed some light on the matter:

with all of the above. You said you've checked for FS but, with the potential value, I would check more than once.

If you find any that are close or questionable, just post them for opinions.

Set aside the very best examples to go into 2x2s to keep and sell the rest as full 40-coin rolls.

with all opinions offered. I have narrowed my collecting to concentrate on Jeffersons, and there is always something new to learn. I you don't have a RedBook I would highly recommend purchasing one, even an older edition on e-Bay. Great reference.
