Looking For what is accepted as correct weight for British pennies specifically 1963 and 1921. I see they are suppose to weigh 9.4 g and
my 1921 weighs 9.09g and my 1963 9.61g.

Interesting question. I don't know. Bronze pennies issued from 1860 - 1970 should have weighed one-third of an ounce (9.4 grams) when new, but I don't know what the tolerance was. Certainly in the last years before decimalisation in 1971 it was possible to find very worn Victorian pennies in circulation that must have been considerably underweight.

A BU George V should weigh 9.45g
A BU Liz should be 9.396g
Any worn coin will be less.

Thank You so most likely the 1921 George is .3 light due to wear but than does my 1963 Liz being almost .22 over the weight indicate an error or were there tolerances much broader than Canada,'s because I think I remember .18 was highest tolerance I had seen For Canadian Coins.
