Hello members,

I want to get your opinion on below Bust half grading, and more importantly, eye appeal. The strike & any other comments are appreciated. Standard lighting and color/contrast adjusted pictures.

I will reveal the TPG grade on Sunday night.

Looks consistent with VF30 maybe squeeze out a 35.
As far as appeal goes- not for me. Washed out look.

High VF although PCGS was terribly generous on bust half grades up until about a year ago. So if it's a 40 or even a 45 I wouldn't be shocked.

This has NO eye appeal. A dish for a cheek and a bogger in Liberty's nose. Plus the monotone look of an over dipped coin, which is actually unlikely since there is still so much crud on the reverse.

Looks xf45-au50 to me. Nice strike on both sides but some wear also. All the stars are flat with no separation. Looks dipped and stripped of original luster. Eye appeal declines as the surface does not look original. Also the steak taped onto liberty's cheek doesn't help. Having said that, there are people who prefer a white coin.

Makes EF-40 but has an unnatural, ghostly look to it. And what's happening on the cheek?

this coin should have been dipped prior to submission.. now it is an ugly coin..

Maybe these pics don't do it justice but there are so many attractive original toned Bust halves that I'd pass. EF 40 for me.
