1973 S Proof Quarter...cameo? Deep Cameo? Grade?

moxking Rest in Peace United States 17900 Posts	Posted 09/16/2017 09:37 am The tiny black spot MIGHT be removed with a very carefully applied dot of pure acetone. DO NOT rub the dot of acetone. Give it a little time. Wash with pure water. Air dry. HOWEVER you risk disturbing the proof field reflectivity at the location. So when all is said and done I guess I'd leave it alone. Even with the spec this is a 67 DCAM. Very lovely. Air tite capsule or 2x2 strongly recommended. Report this Post to the Staff

I actually just removed it from a sealed Mylar flip to snap good pics of it. I've got some air tite capsules on the way actually. Will be storing it in one. Report this Post to the Staff
