It's a normal 1988. The 1988 with reverse of 1989 has a G with serifs, not a straight G on the FG. While it is the same reverse design known as the "
Wide AM" on the 1998-2000s, it should not be referred to as a "
Wide AM". As said already, all 1988s will have a gap between the A & M. You are looking for Reverse Design Variety 006 (RDV-006). The normal reverse for 1988 is RDV-005. The coin you have pictured is a normal RDV-005. See here for images and links to the individual catalogued dies:
