I find coins like this all the time with a chip, crack or other minor error. Other than being cool to find, do any hold value?

IMO, it depends on just how minor and your willingness to invest your time into marketing them, proably in setting up a little ebay listing and ship it out. If you are willing to do it, you will likely make a few cents more than the face value of the cent sold. If you put up a bunch of these at the same time so as to hopefully operate most efficiently in packing and shipping listings ending at the same time, a couple weeks later you could have made a few bucks on the endevour. Up to you if it's worth it :)

I don't think it's worth my time to do all that! Really curious if any were particularly valuable. Many I save for my collection like the one above because they are just so unique.

IMO it's a waste of time to try to sell them. The time spent to list and wait for a sale to make a buck or two isn't worth it. There are thousands of minor errors and varieties listed on ebay that don't sell week after week. And then if you do make a sale then then the time to package and ship then pay ebay and paypal fees just doesn't make sense to me to make a dollar.
Like you said though, cool to find. Get yourself a 3 ring binder and some 2X2 plastic holder pages and start filling it up.

As to value, for comparison there are a lot of VAM and Liberty Seated varieties that don't really carry much of a premium. It makes the piece more fascinating and marketable, but the ultimate sales price isn't necessarily much more. And these are for series with some high rolling and avid collectors. It's true there are always a couple cherrypickers varieties that catch on as financially noteworthy, but most just make the coin interesting.

I think most of the value for you will be the thrill of the chase and enjoying the hobby and the nuisances of you chosen series.

It's a cheap thrill to find them.

It's a waste of time trying to sell them.

Although selling 20-30 at a time at a buck each plus postage here on the forum might grab a worthwhile sale or two.

These types of finds are a lot of fun, but is not worth the time trying to sell them. I've found stuff like this actually. This coin is a keeper for sure.
