Quote: Coming Monday Oct 2. 10oz silver Superman shield shaped coin. Thought I saw another 3 ounce reverse gold plated silver coin in the upcoming releases at a CP outlet not mentioned so far.

I think it was briefly mentioned on this forum but there is little interest in it. https://www.cdncoin.com/2017-50-DC-...32085909.htmActually, there is no interest in the Superman coins because it has been done to death. The 10 oz Superman coin is just another who cares coin.

I stopped collecting Superman coins since they started the "DC Originals" series, the 75th anniversary was good enough, now it is just overkill.

I think Proof Nut is referring to the next 3oz gold-plated Superman coin, in other words coin #2 in that series........it is easy to mistake it for coin #1.......at a glance they look very similar
Coin #2 image up courtesy of C4F
But alas, it is true there is little interest in this series and re: the Big 10 oz shield Mintage:1500 is way too many for the price point....IMHO

Email arrived at midnight last night and yes both Superman coins were in it.
The large shield with the translucent enamel looks kind of neat but for that kind of money, I'd want to see the real thing up close.

yes, my opinion is the same. When the "Shield" on the coin - was elegant and simple, but here, this item belongs Gift Shop. However, like all 10oz should be impressive "coin", and some might like to add it to the collection.

RCM, CA, The Coin Shoppe and probably GW have listed the October release.
Are people planning to load the "Eyes" series? (which already defined as Cherry Blossom / Autumn Bliss - 2)

I don't know, how it escaped "under radar" , but this coin still available on RCM website for issue price.... It shown all signs of potential appreciation: First in Series Not bad design Affordable Relatively low limited mintage No "new Inukshuk" or "new Cherry Blossom"?
