I have wanted a coin from the Theopolis mint for several years now. I finally managed to find an example for an acceptable price a few weeks ago.

I still have no idea which emperor it's from, however.

Specifically, it looks like RY 3 (III), but I don't think Tiberius Constantine used that date, if it's Justin II then it should have Sophia on it, and the legend doesn't really fit anyone else.

I'm leaning towards Tiberius Constantine (SB 448?), because of the shape of the M, but the weird regnal year bothers me, and I can't find anything similar.

...Any ideas?
(It's 29 mm, ~11.5 g, if that helps.)

[EDIT: some brief googling before I post tells me it could be Maurice Tiberius, SB 532. I suppose that's also a possibility.]

You are correct SB-448 regnal year 7.

I really only thought of Maurice Tiberius at all because I remembered this old story.

I did briefly consider regnal year 7 or, more likely, 8 of SB 448 as a possibility, but all three symbols of III look the same - there's no prominent arc (and best I can tell there isn't even any space for one - the left I is too close to the denomination letter).

It's pretty hard to see, but it's there.
