Looks to be some MD, but the E looks interesting. Yeah, clearer pictures would really help.

With the pictures given and from what I can only guess, I see some MD and also possible doubling. The 71 LMC has a few nice DDO varieties so you may want to check for possible matching die scratches or marks from Wexlers.

Don't sweat it. Sometimes, whether it be the condition of the coin, the lighting you have on the coin, the severity of the doubling and even the age of the die. These are all factors that you have to face to get a descriptive enough image to make a convincing argument, theory, or of course bragging right. Being able to see something you can't convey to others is frustrating but worth the patience. You're not going to always come across a perfect Mint State DDO,like what was posted on here, as an example. I hope you do! I also hope this coin turns out to be a DDO. The DDO-002 stage B would be hard to show without the proper equipment even in a higher grade, in my opinion. Sounds like you have some equipment coming which is awesome. Happy hunting! http://doubleddie.com/661934.htmlThe picture is of the DDO-002 variety. And the website link is to Wexlers die varieties for the 1971 LMC.
