What would you grade this 1909 Lincoln Cent?

I would agree with the MS-64 RB. Super looking coin, Maybe the picture hides some marks. The face looks really clean , with no hits/scratches...I would even like this one at 65, great addition to your collection zacharycash !

Great coin, Zach. Won't venture a grade because of what seems to be marks on the obverse rim at 9:00. It almost looks like it was rubbed on a file or concrete. What do you make of it?

Grading by internet pictures just plain sucks. I don't care how good a camera you have or any other factors. It's OK for the lower grades, but for MS grades it's pretty rotten IMO. Also, it's easy to "micrograde" with pictures. There's about a million factors that effect how the coin will look in a picture too. The best graders I've seen almost NEVER use ANY magnification. It's all done with the eye and that initial impression within 10 seconds.

My point is, don't short change yourself with the grade on this one. It could be a 65. There's hardly a mark on it and the surfaces absolutely ROCK with originality IMO. I like these with a little darkness, it shows they haven't been dipped (most likely). The 1925 I posted a couple of weeks ago is one of my favorite coins because of the obvious original surfaces.
